Spontanous user via QR-Code

Spontaneous, ad hoc or instant users are those who want to charge an EMP at a public charging point without an existing contractual relationship.

To do this, they scan a QR code sticker, confirms prices and terms and conditions and makes the payment (via a payment provider) immediately (“Pay-as-you-Go”). The person then receives a receipt, but remains anonymous.

The opposite of an ad hoc user is the contracted user or roaming user, who usually are charged at some later point in time (“postpaid”).
